Historic buildings along the new Metro C Line in Rome
In the framework of the construction of Rome’s Metro Line C, Sismica360 provided technical support on the estimation of the effects induced by the excavation activities on the Church of Ss. Stimmate di San Francesco.
A global structural model was realized using the finite element software LUSAS, enabling the assessment and design of structural strengthening aimed to mitigate the impact of the excavation.
The project was part of a broader study aimed at assessing the impact (settlement) of the underground works on buildings of historical and cultural significance in the city of Rome.
