Seismic assessment of showcases for AAM, San Francisco
We provided a consultancy for the seismic design of 15 showcasesdesigned and built by Goppion S.p.A. for the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. The assessment of non-structural components, in particular the masterpieces, is essential to guarantee their protection in case of seismic event. In this case, given the complexity of the showcases, a FEM model has been developed for each structure to assess the showcases and their precious content.
